Weidmann & Associates, Inc.

We were founded by Bill Weidmann in 1989. With Bill’s Structural Engineering degree and over 25 years of construction management experience, the new remodeling company quickly gained recognition in the Atlanta market. Within five years, it was among the 15 largest. In 1995, to continue company growth without sacrificing client service, Bill’s brother Dan joined the business. Dan’s background in business law and engineering added to the strength of the company.

Our History

By 1997, the brothers’ hard work and enduring commitment to client satisfaction in the renovation and remodeling fields elevated Weidmann to the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Top 10 Remodeler” list, where the company has remained ever since. In 1998, Remodeling Magazine named Bill and Dan Weidmann to its “Big 50” list, one of the industry’s most coveted awards. The magazine selects 50 remodelers each year as models of excellence in all areas of the business.

With over twenty-five years of design-build experience and a continuing commitment to client satisfaction, Weidmann provides turn-key solutions for remodeling projects from initial concept through completion of construction. In 2014 Weidmann proudly expanded operations to a branch office at Lake Oconee. They now bring Weidmann’s award winning design-build services to a vibrant and growing lake front community. Weidmann is working closely with these new clients to help them fall in love with their homes . . . Again!

Unlike new home building, the majority of remodeling is done with the homeowner residing in the midst of the construction project. Accordingly, the company’s goal is to make the whole contractor/client relationship a pleasant experience. After all, even high quality work will do little to offset a painful remodeling experience. The final result— superior client satisfaction, with nearly 90 percent of Weidmann’s work coming from repeat or referral clients.

Projects

This client wanted their master bathroom to be an escape from their every day, so we transformed their existing space (with too large of a tub and small shower) into a spa oasis. To achieve this, we created a “wet space” that combined bathing and showering with a curbless entry. This openness without having a shower door and unique spa features – fogless shower mirror, multiple sprays and built-in storage – and a unique vanity with wall mounted faucets to free up space and mirrors to the ceiling – really made it much more open and brighter. Added a few before images in there so you could see the difference.

Spending more time at home is not a bad thing when you have an entertainment space designed for everyone in your family. This client wanted to expand their partially finished basement to accommodate not only the kids but a space where the adults can play too…we believe their vision was realized.

When you live in Lake Oconee you want a place to enjoy the view. We took advantage of the home’s available space to expand the family’s enjoyment and fit the home to their taste and lifestyle.

How many of us out there have a bathtub in our Master Bath that only gets dusted occasionally and to spread towels out to dry on? We keep these behemoths because someone somewhere told us a Master Bath MUST have a tub for resale value. We then settle for a thin shower stall that gets heavily used daily?!? This makes no sense. The truth is you just need a tub in a bathroom in the home somewhere.

Who wouldn’t love to have a large beautiful shower with plenty of storage for your products and multiple fixture heads? This is the one area of our home that we use every day and sets the tone for the rest of our day. The options available are endless from plumbing fixtures, beautiful tile materials, even drain styles.

Did I mention the accessibility potential? None of us are getting any younger and if you think you will be in you home for many more years, it’s not a bad idea to prepare for mobility issues. Curbless entries, large benches, and wide openings not only look amazing but are invaluable if your mobility is compromised due to age and/or injury. I personally had back surgery recently and my remodeled shower was a God send!
